Khalil Halwani passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 92.

Khalil was actually born in Hama, Syria on April 4, 1929, to his proud parents, Salem Halwani and Maria Jaalouk. Khalil’s legal date a birth changed early in his life to February 18, 1928, suddenly making him a year older legally. He served two years in the Syrian Military. He attended college and became a teacher for many years in Syria. Khalil married Margrette Antakli in Hama, Syria. He has been in the community since 2017 and attended Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his loving Wife, Margrette Antakli; brother, Albert Halwani and his wife Suaad Khabbaz; brother, Ellia Halwani and his wife Suaad Hasbani; brother, Michael Halwani; sister, Linda Halwani and her husband Tawfiq Azar; son-in-law, Adeeb Khouri; brother-in-law, Metry Elias Zakhoor.
Those who are left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his Children: Randa Halwani, Razan Halwani and her husband Mtanuis Hummus, Jumana Halwani and her husband Anwar Al-Sahwi, Reem Halwani and her husband Atta Massabni, Msallam Halwani and his wife Reem Kassrin, Abeer Halwani and her husband Faysal Bedawi, Maha Halwani Chedid-Walker and her husband Brian Walker, George Halwani and his fiance Mariam Mosa; brother, Mtanius Halwani; brother, Najeeb Halwani and his wife Wisal Yaqoob; sister, Etidal Halwani and her husband Nakhleh Al-Nashet, sister Salam Halwani; sister-in-law, Yusra Jaboor; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
