In Loving Memory of Gloria Jean Miles Hines

Gloria Hines, 86, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away on Friday May 22, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on February 1, 1940, to Ira Dee and Bernice Miles in Borger, Texas.

Gloria married Benjamin 'Butch' Hines on March 2, 1999, and lived in Arlington, Texas, until Butch’s passing. Gloria had an extensive career working for the Texas State Attorney General’s office in the Child support division. Gloria enjoyed her dog Mia, bowling, gardening, cooking fabulous meals for the family and spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids.

Gloria is survived by daughter Theresa Phillips, her husband Gary, son Billy Horton, and his wife Lisa, along with grandchildren Alyssa Cantrell and her husband Rudy, Hailey Horton, Houston Horton, and Johnathan Hernandez and his wife Victoria. She also leaves behind great grandchildren Abby, Ella, Miles Cantrell, and Kamren Hernandez. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin 'Butch' Hines, her parents ID and Bernice Miles, her brothers Dennis Miles, Ricky Miles, as well as her grandson Austin Phillips, granddaughter Angie Hernandez.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Skyvue Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery. A celebration of life service for Gloria will be held later.
