Gloria Dean Clark was born to Arlington Reed Eleston and Willie Mae Eleston on December 2, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. Gloria attended school in Fort Worth and graduated from the historic Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. A beautiful woman who lit up any room with her smile and voice, Gloria was affectionately called “Moon Eye” by family and friends.
Gloria met and married Joe Nathan Clark and raised four children, Cindy, Sylvia, Veronica, and Nathan. She worked tirelessly for her family until her retirement in 1990. Gloria’s tremendous love was demonstrated in all she did. She loved to host family gatherings and was a generous person who gave her last to those in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arlington Reed Eleston and Willie Mae Williams; sisters, Dorothy Mae Dimes, Elsie Beatrice Netter, Hattie B. Kelley, and Ruby Jean King; brothers, Willie Lee Eleston and Ebony Earl Williams.
To hold her memory in their hearts, Gloria leaves behind children, Cindy Marie Clark, Sylvia Annette Clark Dennis, Veronica Denise Clark, and Nathan Clark; grandchildren, Destiny Lavette Clark Williams, Latoya Marie Coakely (Small), Camrian Antwanette Dukes, William Nathan Shearins, Nathan Anton Shearins, and Gloria Denise Angel Louise Allison; sisters, Linda Joyce Eleston, Wanda Joyce Harris, and Cindy Pinkston; brother-in-law, Willie Dimes; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held for Gloria Monday, July 31, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Skyvue Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas. Her graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 AM the following day, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
