Gerrianne Patterson

Gerrianne Patterson of Burleson, Texas, passed away on April 9, 2026.

Gerrianne was the kind of woman who made everyone feel like family, often calling people "darling," "honey," or "sweetheart," even strangers. A true Southern spirit, she believed deeply in the good nature of people and in leaving life’s worries in God’s hands.

She had a soft heart and loved fiercely, always putting others before herself to ensure they had what they needed. She created a home full of warmth, laughter, and playful chaos. She loved to sit on the deck, chat for hours, and lovingly boss her family around. She guided her sons through life with steady advice, trusting that even when they didn’t listen, they were still learning. To her grandchildren, she was a source of unwavering love, giving them anything their hearts desired and creating memories they will carry forever.

Gerrianne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Cake and ice cream were non-negotiables for everyone's birthday. She adored all things pink and girly, and proudly passed down her love of pickles. Her home was transformed for holidays, especially Christmas, creating a place of magic.

She shared a special bond with her family, lovingly teasing her brothers, and embracing every woman and girl in her life as “sister.” Her playful spirit showed regularly with her grandchildren, including the proudly used nickname “chicken butt."

Gerrianne is survived by her sons, Dale Aycox and wife Carey, and Chris Patterson and wife Bethany; her mother and best friend, Bernice Alvarez; her brothers, Michael Dante, David Leibrock and wife Amie, and Robert Leibrock and wife Kim; her beloved grandchildren, Mason, Cordale, Kendall, Kambree, and Coltton; her stepdaughters, Lauren Beth, Brittanie, and Tiffanie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Barry Patterson.
