George Oliver Rowan, Jr.

George Oliver Rowan Jr. passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, in Alvarado, Texas at the age of 64.

He was born on February 8, 1962, in Breckenridge, Texas to George and Shirley Rowan.

George started roofing at 17 years old and dedicated 30+ years to his roofing business. Through his knowledge, dedication and strong work ethic, he also became a general contractor. He took great pride in his work and there was nothing that he couldn’t do.

George found joy in the simple things in life. He loved football, especially the Cowboys and the Chiefs. He loved the outdoors, skiing, being at the lake, riding motorcycles, hunting and hanging out at the racetrack.

He is preceded in death by numerous family members and close friends.

George is survived by his beloved partner of 25 years, Peggy Phillips; his children, Brandy and husband Troy, Kristi and wife Kelly, Jacob and wife Carolyn; parents, George and Shirley Rowan; grandchildren, Natalie, Coco, Kingsley, Karsyn, Zachary; great-grandchildren, Jasper, Jase and Jaxx; sisters, Julie London and husband Ronnie, Rae Duncan and husband Tony along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
