Lucky Gates, 63, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 25, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Syvue Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas.

Lucky is preceded in death by: Derward Gates, Randy Gates, Perry Harkcom, Alberta Harkcom, and numerous other loved ones.

Lucky is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Gates. His children and their spouses Anthony and Audrey Gates, Chris Gates, Brandy and Wayne Holloway, Joey and Kara Wiggins, and Penny Tedford. Siblings and Sibling-in-laws along with their spouses Sandra Gates, Robin and Allen Poehlein, and Jake and Betty DeRose. Mother Melba Gates. Grandchildren J.R. and Kathie Holloway, Kortney Holloway, Kyle Holloway, Cason Wiggins, Alex and Courtney Gates, Ashley Gates, and Nicole. Great Grandchildren Bubba, Konner, Lyric, Echo, and Lane. Along with many numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In loving memory of a man that dedicated his life to working hard and loving with all of his heart. We will all miss your long stories, your slow talking, and showing of Facebook videos. Lucky changed every life that he touched, and although he was a tough man, he had a heart of gold.
