Donald Loyd Garrett

Donald Loyd Garrett went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the age of 80.

Donald was born December 15, 1941, in Baird, Texas to Loyd Wilson Garrett and Margaret Laverne Hopkins Garrett. He graduated from Everman and earned an associate degree from TCJC. He married Donna Faye Williams Garrett on May 28, 1962, in Everman, Texas. He worked for Texas Steel and General Dynamics before working and retiring from Miller Brewery. He was a member of Everman Methodist Church. He was a Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge – Deer Creek as well as the Arlington Area Street Rods. Donald enjoyed restoring old cars, coaching little league baseball, football and softball when his kids were little. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Margaret Garrett; stepmother, Dorothy Garrett; father-in-law, Dub Williams; mother-in-law, Faye Williams; brother-in-laws, Mike Williams and Jerry Miles.

He is survived by his Wife of almost 60 years, Donna Garrett; daughter, Dana Holbrook and her husband Don Martin; son, Duane Garrett and his wife Lisa; sister, Jennifer Garrett; sister-in-law, Gwen Miles; sister-in-law, Martha Jackson and her husband, Johnny; sister-in-law, Beverly Williams; grandchildren, Krista Lance and her husband Eric, Brad Garrett and his wife Megan, Garrett Fellers and his wife Michaela, Trent Garrett, Amber Kelly and her husband Stephen; great-grandchildren, Haiden Garrett, Gaige Compton, Avery Garrett, Kinsley Garrett, Nolan Fellers, Riley Kelly, Levi Garrett, Shepard Garrett, Neely Fellers; along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
