Fritz Yarnell Briscoe Sr., a beloved figure in his community and cherished family man, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. Born on February 6, 1962, in Marshall, Texas, Fritz was known for his warmth, kindness, and dedication.
Fritz married the love of his life, Yolanda, on April 20, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas. Their bond was a testament to the strength of partnership and family, creating a nurturing environment that their children would thrive in. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, rich with memories shared with family and friends.
Fritz is survived by his daughter, Andrea Briscoe and Stephen King; sons, Fritz Briscoe Jr. and his wife Rachel, and David Briscoe and his wife Eden. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Chandra Nelson and her husband Michael; and his brothers, Darrell Phillips and Sherwyn Phillips; his sisters-in-law, Gail Nelson and her husband, Reginald, Vickie Wooldridge and her husband, Woodrow, Lisa Wright, and her husband, Ken, Ramona Barrett, and his brother-in-law, Raymond Hill and his wife, Tisha, as well as a host of numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Tyler, Devon, Cameron, and Jordin, who brought immense joy to his life.
An avid lover of music and a passionate sports enthusiast, especially in basketball, Fritz was always ready with a smile and a story to share. His laughter resonated in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. He found great joy in spending quality time with his family and friends, creating lasting bonds that will forever be treasured.
Fritz is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Yolanda Briscoe, his parents, Ruth and David Briscoe, his sister, Evelyn White, and his grandson, Christopher Briscoe. Their absence is deeply felt, yet their memories will continue to inspire and guide his family.
As we honor the life of Fritz Yarnell Briscoe Sr., we celebrate a kind soul who touched the lives of many. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
