Edward Freeman, Of Mansfield TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday February 19th, 2022, at the age of 70.
Celebration of Life is March 1st, 2022, at 2p.m. at Skyvue Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the Freeman Family ask that donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ( In Honor of his daughter, Trisha Freeman that passed away at the age of 6 of Cystic Fibrosis.)

Ed Freeman was born on February 15th, 1952, to James and Eileen Freeman.
CWO-3 Freeman served for over 21 years in the Marine Corps. He was Honorably discharged on 7-31-1991. Warrant Officer Freeman then went on to serve in the Lords Army as a Pastor for 10 years. Serving the Lord and his family was his greatest love. During his service in the Prison ministries, he felt a calling to serve his community in Law Enforcement. He followed his calling and became a Corrections Officer and then enrolled into the Police Academy at the young age of 55.
After he graduated from the Academy , Deputy Sheriff Freeman also served as a Constable and Bailiff for Precinct 7 in Mansfield Texas. Due to Cancer he had to retire in October of 2021. Ed will always be remembered for his "OCD" , his sense of humor, love for animals, his generous and compassionate heart, A Real life Superhero, the absolute Best Son, Brother, Father, Husband, Grandfather, soon to be Great Grandfather, Friend to so many and much more.
Ed is preceded in Death by his Father James Freeman, Brother's Jim and David Freeman, sister Sue Sligh, daughter Trisha Freeman, Granddaughter Ashlee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years ; Lee Freeman; His Mother and Siblings, Eileen Ratliff , sisters Judy Rupp and Carolyn Gordon; Children and spouses; David ;Danny and Heather; Jenny; Jesse and Kim; Grandchildren, Brandon; Dallen and Brooke; Micah and Megan; Tiegen; Austin; Jazzmine and Christian; Jason, Jordan and Mackenzie and numerous other family members and friends.
