Floyd Thomas

Floyd Glen Thomas laid his hard-working hands to rest on August 16, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 86.

Floyd was born in Crete, Nebraska on February 23, 1939, to J. Lawrence Thomas and Jennie "Ruby" Thomas. He married Virginia Berdine Thomas in Weatherford, Texas. Floyd enjoyed building furniture, tinkering with things, doing yard work and loved rose bushes.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, J. Lawrence Thomas and Jennie "Ruby" Thomas; his wife, Virginia Berdine Thomas; siblings, Evelyn Ellis, Robert Thomas, Ralph Thomas, Geraldine Tompkins and Harold Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy his daughter, Misty and husband Robert Hancock; sons, Stephen Thomas and James Thomas; a brother who has since passed (22 days after Floyd on September 8, 2025) Richard Lowell Thomas; grandchildren, Shannon and husband Joseph Boone, Savannah Hernandez, Kenneth Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Thomas, Preslee Hummel, Paul Boone and Lyra Miller along with a host of nieces and nephews.
