Evelyn White (Phillips)

Evelyn Phillips was born on April 11, 1953. She was raised in Scottsville, TX under the love and care of her grandparents Leroy and Ethel Bell Saxon. 

She received her education from the Marshall, TX public schools. After High School she attended Texas Wesleyan University in Denton, TX. 

Evelyn had only two jobs within her lifetime. One as a salesclerk and then shortly after graduating she became employed with Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX where she remained for 35 years until her retirement in June of 2008. 

She met and married Kenneth Biggers and raised their children, Terence Phillips (Terry aka Bubba) and Kristi Lacy (Beena). Many years later she married Forest White. 

Evelyn transitioned from this life on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.  She left this earthly home surrounded by those she loved and those who truly love her.  She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Leroy and Ethel Bell Saxon, her stepfather David Briscoe and mother, Ruth Briscoe.   

Evelyn leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: a son, Terence Phillips (Terry) a daughter Kristi Lacy (Don); one sister, Chandra Nelson (Michael), three brothers, Sherwyn Phillips (Dallas, TX), Darrell Phillips (Arlington, TX) and Fritz Briscoe (Arlington, TX); two grandchildren, Don Lacy Jr (DJ) and Amari Lacy and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
