Eric Edwards

Eric Edwards, born October 29, 1979, passed away on August 23, 2026. He will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him, and with enduring gratitude for the life he shared so generously with his family, friends, and community.

Eric devoted himself to his work through Edwards Financial Strategies LLC and Surepath Wealth Management, bringing his energy and business-minded spirit to the professional world. He also pursued his education at Christ for the Nations, a formative part of his life and faith journey. He attended Gateway Church, where that foundation continued to find expression in worship and fellowship.

Beyond his work, Eric embraced life with enthusiasm and a wide range of interests. He enjoyed playing chess, target practice, producing music, vacations with his family, training German shepherds, and anything business related. These pursuits reflected both his creativity and his drive, as well as the joy he found in time spent with those he loved most.

At the heart of Eric’s life was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lauren Edwards, and by his children, Erica Edwards, Samuel Eric Edwards, Kadence Edwards, and Braden Mitten. He also leaves behind his mother, Pamela Edwards, and his sister, Rachel Edwards. His love extended warmly into the next generation through his grandchildren, Jayce Mittan, Hudson Mittan, and Kingston Mittan, whose lives carry forward his memory in a special way.

He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Karter Martinez and Kourtlyn Dawson, Keziah De La Santos and by his nephews, Camden Dedmon and Chayton Chilser. His family circle also includes his cousins, Matt and Jenny Tuttle, and his lifetime friends, Jason Shannon and Josh Haney, whose enduring bond with Eric was a treasured part of his life. All who shared in his journey were touched by his presence and will hold his memory close.

Eric was preceded in death by, Greg Edwards, Vernon Edwards, Betty Edwards, Mildred Tuttle, and Tim Tuttle. Their memories remained part of the story of his life, and now he is reunited with those who went before him.

A graveside service will be held on September 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Skyvue Memorial Gardens, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Road, Mansfield, Texas 76063.

 A Celebration of Life will follow on September 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The White Room, 2227 W Park Row Drive, Pantego, Texas 76013.

Eric Edwards will be remembered for his devotion to family, his enterprising spirit, his varied passions, and the relationships he nurtured throughout his life. His memory will remain a source of strength, love, and reflection for those who knew him and loved him.
