Mrs. Elisa La Shell Perkins was born September 30, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to the proud parentage of Thomas Johnson and Verna Lee Evans. Elisa was a proud mother to two sons, Elvis Dilworth and Donald Taylor. Elisa married her loving husband, Donald Ray Perkins, on September 8, 2008.
Elisa was known as “Shell”, attended Green B Trimble Technical High School. In 2022, she returned to school to earn her GED, finding joy, pride, and proof that it’s never too late to chase a dream.
She was a devoted mother, loving wife, proud grandmother, cherished daughter and caring sister and auntie. Family was the center of her world. Elisa carried herself with strength, grace, and confidence. Forever touching the lives of everyone who knew her.
For over 15 years, she was dedicated self-employed business owner building her cleaning service with determination, pride, and an unmatched work ethic. She was truly a strong, resilient, and dependable person others could lean on. Loyal to the core and effortlessly classy, she loved hard and stood firm in her values.
She found joy in the simple and meaningful moments. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, where she felt at peace. She enjoyed music, good times, and celebrating life’s special moments with the people she loved most. She had a way of bringing warmth, laughter, and life into any room she entered.
She was about her family, her work, and everything she believed in. Her love was deep, herpresence was powerful, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted and thefamily she cherished so deeply.On March 22, 2026, Elisa answered the master’s call and transitioned from time to eternity.When she arrived in heaven, she was greeted by her father Thomas Johnson; her auntie WilleMae Cooks, and her best friend Synthia Lane Morris.
Those left to cherish her memories: Her husband Donald Ray Perkins; Sons Elvis Dilworth and Donald Taylor. Her daughter in law PersiShala Taylor along with her stepchildren Dennyssia Newsome and Deandre Newson. Her mother Verna Lee Evans; Her bother Rodney Evans, Her sisters’ Pamela Ross, Sonya Renee Dilworth and Della Dilworth. Her grandchildren Trindon Taylor, Reagan Elysse, Kayla Holmes, Kyra Holmes and Kaiden Holmes. Her great grandchild Kaydence Turner, and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
