Edward Henry Specht

Edward "Ed" Specht passed away June 27, 2024, at the age of 78.

On a beautiful January 20th day in 1946, Edward was born to John Henry Specht and Emma Hausauer Specht in Jamestown, North Dakota.

September 23, 1981, Edward married his love, Norma Parker in Mansfield, Texas.

Although he only made it through the 8th grade, he worked hard and held cherished positions at Tuttle & Tuttle trucking, Centex Homes and Choice Homes.

Ed could often be found tinkering around on old cars and trucks or putting things together like BBQ grills with friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Henry Specht; mother, Emma Specht; sisters, Shirly Lang, Pearl Binder and Mavis Kainz; and two granddaughters, Sarah Marie Villarreal and Tommie Gail Gonzales.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Norma Parker Specht; daughters, Tina Marie Cruz, Tonya Kay Hendrixson, April Hale and husband John Hale, Haley Sky Gonzales whom he raised as his own; sons, John Wanner and Becky North Wanner, Tony Gonzales and Michelle Meador Gonzales, Tim Gonzales, James E. Specht and Sandra Specht, Chad Allen Specht and Terrie Specht, Timmy Gonzales Jr. whom he raised as his own; sisters, Phyllis Stroh and Carolyn Dewall; brothers, Roland Specht and Irene Specht, Dennis Lang and Arnie Kainz; 30 grandchildren with 15 spouses; 50 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; as well as many, many friends including Charles, Juan, Abel, Carnell, Mike and Mike.

The service will start at 12 noon. You are welcome to come at any time and stay as long or as brief as you like. The building will be open until 10 p.m. for us. We will have lunch around 1 p.m. and after we will be sharing our stories and memories as well as a slide show that will play all day. So please come share Ed's amazing life stories.
