Earnest Thomas Sr.

Earnest Thomas Sr., 93, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Earnest was born in Karnack, TX. on March 13, 1931 to Alex and Josie Harris Thomas. He graduated from Karnack Texas Public School and retired from Portland General Cement Company. Earnest was a member of Stranger's Rest Baptist Church, where he served as President of the Stranger's Rest Male Chorus, Deacon and several other church auxiliaries. His hobbies were baseball in his earlier years and watching the Texas Rangers Baseball games.

Earnest was preceded in death by his 1st wife Dorothy Thomas and 2nd wife Oneta Thomas; brothers, Lewis Thomas, Alex Thomas Jr., J.B. Russell, J.T. Thomas, Azzie Thomas; parents, Alex and Josie Thomas.

Survivors: Daughters, Susan Lafaye Milledge, Gwendolyn (Michael) Henson; sons, Earnest (Deborah) Thomas Jr., Douglas Thomas, Eddie (Rhonda) Thomas; sister, Bessie Russell; brothers, Willie Thomas, Robert Thomas; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
