Douglas Lee Chaney has peacefully passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 70.
Doug was born on August 5, 1955, in Graham, Texas, to Mary Ann and Hiram Chaney. He worked for Lyness Construction as a truck driver, and he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and he loved spending time with his family with big family gatherings.
His family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Harris Methodist Hospital for all the support and care given to Doug during his treatment there. They would also ask that in lieu of flowers, you would consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society/?campaign=honormemorialmedia&gclid=040af460f318161593fb9db735c1a1a3&gclsrc=3p.ds&&msclkid=040af460f318161593fb9db735c1a1a3&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ACS_Donate_US_FY27_New%20Donor%20Generic%20Alpha_MSFT_BD_Search_30556&utm_term=the%20american%20cancer%20society&utm_content=ACS_Donate_FY27_MSFT_NAT_LF_Other_PROS_KEYWORD_BD%20Generic_3P_Search_Text_SEM_P_NOT" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">American Cancer Society in Doug's honor.
