In Loving Memory of Dorman Wayne Huffstuttler
Dorman Wayne Huffstuttler, 93, of Weatherford, Texas, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of December 24, 2025. Heaven welcomed a faithful servant, and his family rejoices in the assurance that he has been reunited with loved ones who went before him.
Dorman was a loving husband, devoted father, proud Papa, caring brother, and loyal friend. He proudly served his country as an Army Sergeant during the Korean War, a role that reflected his courage, discipline, and deep sense of duty. His military service shaped a lifetime commitment to hard work, integrity, and helping others.
Throughout his life, Dorman believed in honest work and serving wherever he was needed. He kept himself busy mowing, building, fixing, and lending a hand to others. He truly never met a stranger and could have you laughing within minutes. Though known for his stubborn streak and deep passion, his heart was even bigger, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Marie Huffstuttler; his brother, Wade, and wife Bernice; his sister, Wyona, and husband Dub; and his parents, Ruth Ann and Emerson Huffstuttler.
Dorman leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, service, and family. He is survived by his sister, Euna Crooks; his children, Mike Huffstuttler and wife Jane, Dwayne Huffstuttler and wife Lisa, David Huffstuttler and wife Kathy, and daughter Barbara Burns and husband Rob; eight grandchildren and their spouses; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
A graveside service will take place on January 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Buckner Cemetery (1220 Buckner Road, Lipan, Texas). Family and friends are invited to join us for a reception lunch following the service at First Baptist Church in Dennis, Texas.
Dorman’s life was a testimony to hard work, kindness, faithful service, and trust in God. Though he will be deeply missed on this side of heaven, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace, fully restored, and rejoicing in eternal life.
