Diana 'Abby' Hauck

June 4, 1947 — January 28, 2026

Diana Kay Hauck (Inabnitt), lovingly known to many as Abby, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Grand Prairie, Texas, at the age of 78. She was a resident of Grand Prairie and was formerly of Whiteland, Indiana.

Diana was born on June 4, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Louie Denton Inabnitt and Mary Ann Inabnitt (Neville). She was raised in Indiana, where she graduated from Whiteland High School and was baptized at Church of Christ in Franklin, Indiana, grounding her life in faith, family, and service to others.

Diana devoted much of her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. While her children were young, she worked for the Grand Prairie Independent School District, a role that allowed her to stay closely connected to her family and around her kids. After her children graduated, she continued her career in the home infusion industry, where she worked with Apria, Option Care, and Walgreens Home Infusion, bringing compassion and dedication to every role she held.

She was married to the love of her life, Steven Keith Hauck, who preceded her in death. Diana’s heart remained deeply connected to her family, and she carried the memories of those she loved with her always.

Diana found her greatest joy in her family and grandchildren. She loved watching her grandchildren perform and grow, spending time visiting with friends, playing board games, shopping, and celebrating all things Christmas, her favorite season. She also had a joyful spirit and loved to dance and sing, filling rooms with laughter, music, and warmth wherever she went. She was a true lover of family, friends, and animals, known for her welcoming spirit, warm smile, and generous heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Keith Hauck; her sons Eric Vaughn Mitchell and Tobias Brandon Mitchell; her brothers Phillip Neville Inabnitt and Louis Denton Inabnitt Jr. (sister in-law Beatrix); and her sister Carolyn Sue Inabnitt Halligan (brother in-law Albert).

She is survived by her children: Melani Diana Madsen and spouse Shane Madsen; Benny Allen Mitchell II; Ashley Devin Hauck and spouse Courtney Hauck; her sister Mary Louise Inabnitt Davis and spouse Fred Davis; her beloved grandchildren: Austin Mitchell, Savannah Morales, Riley Mitchell-Seaton and spouse Cody Seaton, Alexis Baze and spouse Elyjah, Emily Machala, Brody Hauck, Cooper Hauck, London Hauck, and Avery Madsen; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

Diana will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Serenity Field at Skyview Funeral Home.

Diana Kay Hauck will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle strength, and the countless ways she made others feel seen, cared for, and at home. Her legacy lives on through her family, whose lives she touched deeply and forever.
