Gary L. DeVries, 64, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at South Oaks Baptist Church in Arlington.
Gary graduated from Slayton High School in 1967. He retired from Southwestern Bell and owned G&K Transport. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.
The family thanks his doctors, nurses, staff, eighth-floor transplant and Vitas Hospice at Baylor All Saints for their support and guidance.
He was predeceased by his father, Virgil DeVries; twin brother, Larry DeVries; and daughter, Londa DeVries.
Survivors: Wife, Kathy DeVries; children, Erica Turner and husband, Jay, and Kasey Baker and husband, Shane; grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah and Chloe Turner; mother, Ella DeVries; siblings, Nancy DeVries and Randy DeVries and wife, Anne; and many nieces and nephews.
