Dennis was born on February 16, 1963, to Dennis Dee Miles and Lenelle Mae Bruce, in Houston, Texas. He married Lori Ann Wilkie on June 29, 1985, at Assembly of God Church in Arlington, Texas. Dennis enjoyed time with his family and friends, playing with his grandchildren, golfing, playing Fantasy football, and watching football - Go Cowboys!!

Dennis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lori Ann Miles; his daughter, Kerri Denise Guzman and husband A.J.; his son, Lance Patrick Miles and wife Donna; his grandson, Jace Guzman, and granddaughters, Isabel Miles and Allison Miles; his chihuahua, Rowdy.
