Emmett Lee Decker, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2021.
He was born on May 19, 1942, in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Nelson and Alice Francis Decker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Betty Decker; sister, Lenora Jean Hembrough; brother, Howard Nelson Decker; granddaughter, Tammie Jo Miller.
Emmett is survived by his wife, Sheila Decker; daughters, Lorri (Craig) Willits, Mitzi Fortune (Joe) Solano; stepson, Brandon (Nicole) Box; stepdaughter, Brittany Box (Sean) Tansey; grandchildren, Colt Miller, Justin Fortune, Cutter Miller, Jerod Fortune, Brandi Fortune, Petty Officer 3rd Class Craig A. Willits Jr., USN, Evie Tansey; many loving great-grandchildren, siblings, and other family members.
His graveside Service will be10am Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Tye Cemetery, Burleson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in Emmett's memory.
