Debra Jaye Clemmons

May 5, 1963 — Aug 19, 2026

Mansfield

Debra Jaye Clemmons was born to Julian and Doris Gornto on May 5, 1963, in Arlington, Texas. Her free spirit was evident very early on, accompanied by a deep, special understanding and connection with animals and nature. Known for her striking red hair and her infectious sense of fun and humor, she brought warmth to all that knew her.

On March 27, 1982, Debra married the love of her life, Bobby D. Clemmons Jr. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and laughter.

Debra found her greatest peace surrounding herself with nature and family. She cherished every moment spent outdoors and with those she loved most. Her three "sugar bears," never failed to put a smile on her face with their antics and she never missed an opportunity to join in on their mischief.

Debra passed on August 19, 2026. We take comfort in knowing her spirit has returned to the peaceful embrace of the natural world she so deeply loved. Those that knew her and loved her will always be able to feel her in the warmth of the sun, crunch of the leaves, and the soft breezes.

Debra is survived by her husband, Bobby Clemmons; son Kyle Clemmons; daughter Keeli Garza and husband Miguel; grandsons Roman, Xavier, and Damian; sister Dana Levy and husband Jim; sister Dee Moon and husband David; foster mother Wanda Clemmons, foster sister Pamela Falk and Husband Duane; mother-in-law Barbara Clemmons; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
