Danny J. Mitchell passed away on September 18, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 83. He was born on August 24, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Danny was an Air Force veteran, and he carried that service as part of a life marked by dedication and steady strength. He enjoyed traveling, spending time at the casino, and going out to eat, especially for seafood. He also took great pleasure in working on his land and making improvements wherever he could. Above all else, however, what mattered most to Danny was time spent with his family.

He shared 63 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Mitchell, a lasting partnership that stood at the heart of his life. He is also survived by his son, Danny Mitchell, and daughter-in-law, Carol. His family continued to grow through the generations, and he leaves behind his grandson, Andrew Mitchell; his granddaughter, Sarah Blake, and her husband, Jake; and his great-granddaughter, Sophia Maria Blake. The love he gave to his family and the time he spent with them will remain a treasured part of their lives.

Visitation will be held on September 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Skyvue Funeral Home, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Skyvue Funeral Home. Burial will take place on September 30, 2026, at Skyvue Memorial Gardens, 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063.
