Daniel Elmer Duncan, a loving husband, father and granfather went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 65. Born on October 14, 1958, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the loving son of his parents, Elmer Duncan and Pansy Williams Duncan.

Daniel's early years laid the foundation for his remarkable life of service and dedication. After completing his education at Appalachian State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree, he embarked on a career that exemplified his unwavering commitment to others. Daniel worked tirelessly for various branches of the YMCA, including the YMCA of Staten Island, YMCA of Northridge in California, YMCA of San Diego, and the City of Fort Worth. His outstanding contributions to these organizations touched countless lives and made a positive impact on communities far and wide.

Described by those who knew him as loving and caring, Daniel extended his compassion beyond his professional life. He was deeply passionate about helping the homeless and dedicated himself to initiatives that provided support and guidance to those in need. As a weight training specialist and fitness enthusiast, he also inspired others to lead healthy lives through exercise. Daniel was an avid advocate for physical well-being and believed in its power to transform lives.

Among his many hobbies and interests were exercising and spending quality time with his beloved grandkids. These precious moments brought him immense joy; they allowed him to share his wisdom and create lasting memories with the next generation. Daniel's devotion to family was unyielding; they remained his proudest accomplishments throughout his life. Daniel's faith was also an instrumental part of who he was. Over the years, he attended Overcomers Fellowship Church, where he met his wife Cathy, San Diego Dream Center Church, Gateway Church, and The Shepherd's House. His faith is evident in the life that he led, and the wonderful legacy that he leaves behind.
