Daniel Stratton Buckhout

Daniel Stratton Buckhout has gone to his Heavenly home June 21, 2025, at the age of 64.

Daniel Stratton Buckhout was born on January 26, 1961, to parents Herbert Stratton Buckhout and Susan Reed Buckhout in Hartford, Connecticut. Dan earned his undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, and his MBA from SMU Dallas.  Dan married Carolyn Benham Buckhout on May 25, 1991. Throughout his career, Daniel worked for many great companies including, Taylor Publishing Company, Boy Scouts of America, 70KFT, and Citi Bank. He attended St. Andrews UMC and St. John the Apostle UMC, both of Arlington, Tx., as well as Matthew Road Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Tx. Dan was active and outgoing and enjoyed cycling, listen to music, reading good books, and researching genealogy. He especially loved his family and encouraged others in their faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Stratton Buckhout. 

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Buckhout; sons, Matthew Buckhout, Jonathan Buckhout; mother, Sue Buckhout; sister, Diane and her husband Eric Laziusk; sister-in-law, Laura and her husband Robert Cousar; brother, Dave and his wife Kerri McIntire; nieces, Katie Mortensen, Becca Lazinsk, Shannon Lazinsk, Moira Thomas; nephews, Ken Mortensen, Dan Lazinsk; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
