The Cunningham family is sad to announce the passing of our beloved Mel on August 17, 2022.
His kind heart, generous soul, and his witty humor will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Mel graduated from Paschal High School in 1968 and then went on to continue his education at Stephen F. Austin where he graduated in 1974. After school, he became the owner of Ascent Custom Homes where he built custom homes in the Ft. Worth and Mansfield area.
Mel was an avid snow skier and enjoyed skiing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Mel was a member of Colonial Country Club for over 60 years and loved playing golf. With his love of golf, he was able to teach Cole Wilson, step grandson, the game and Cole was able to golf in tournament for Argle High School and won state Championship in 2017.
Mel is survived by his wife Sue Ann; sister, Sally Eaves; step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
