Ymelda Covarrubias

Ymelda Jo Solis Covarrubias, also known as “Mela”, “Mena” and “Bela” 42, died Saturday, January 10, 2014 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family. She was born January 14, 1972 in Roswell, NM to Celedino and Selina Solis. She grew up in Van Horn, TX. After graduating High School, moved to Arlington, TX. Ymelda was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She was loved by all who met her. She was diagnosed with cancer in August of 2014 and fought courageously every day. She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Juan Covarrubias; children: Nathaniel, Natali and Naomi Covarrubias; siblings: Yvette Corral and husband Luis Corral; Ysela Flores and husband Raul Flores; Yvonne Hartford; Veronica Mueller and husband Kenny Mueller; Cele Lee Solis and wife Julie Chacon; Yaya Solis and husband Steven Wheeler; Joshua Lee Solis and girlfriend Amanda Torres. Ymelda is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews: Jasmine Macias and husband Carlos Macias; Marissa Corral and fiancé Eric Triggs; Raul Dakota and Renee Flores; Kristen and Kaitlen Hartford; Gracie and Cameron Mueller; Jacquelien, Jadyn and Christian Solis; Brandon Solis and Brianna Wheeler; great niece and nephew Esmeralda and Xavier Macias, as well as many close friends.
Funeral services will be held on January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Skyvue Funeral Home.
