Brian William Cook

Brian William Cook, of Grandview, TX, passed away on September 27, 2021 at the age of 62.

Visitation: 10:00-12:00pm, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Skyvue Funeral Home.
Service: 12:00pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Skyvue Funeral Home.

Brian was born on November 29, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa to Ralph M. Cook and Mabel D. Devries (Kammeyer). He married the love of his life, Barbara D. Cook (Price) on July 11, 1977 in Waterloo, Iowa. He proudly served in the Marine Corp from 1975-1979 (Rank-Sergeant) and he also served in the Air Force from 1980-1984.

He was self-employed, and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking. He had amazing attention to detail, and great care went into every piece that he made. Brian was a loving father, husband, but above everything else he loved being a grandfather. His grandchildren were his entire world. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph M. Cook and Mabel D. Devries.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Cook; daughter, Angela Bright and husband Jaime; son, Shaun Cook; granddaughters, Madison Frey, Rhylee Rector, Taylor Rector; special friend, Daniel Prater, step-grandchildren, Marissa Bright, Tristan Bright, Hayden Bright, Haylee Grace Bright; sister-in-law, Vicky Johnson; nephew, Jeremiah Johnson; niece, Heather Johnson; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
