Christa Ingleberg Cox was born on Christmas Day 1927, in Berlin, Germany, to exuberant parents, Willy and Helen Loeche. Raised in the Lutheran church, the faith she learned carried her through every difficult part of life; knowing God always had a plan for her.
Christa spent her childhood growing up in Berlin, pre-WWII. She was an excellent student, graduating with her associates degree, then as a young woman, served administrative duties at a cosmetics factory.
In 1954, a chance meeting of Christa and Loyd ended in a lame request for American cigarettes and date to the rest of their lives. They were married in 1956, and a fairytale love story ensued that would take them on many life adventures. The highlight being their two daughters, Susan and Linda. They settled in Kennedale in 1956. Christa studied hard to become a United States citizen in a short period of time, and she was a patriotic American for the rest of her days. Their blissful marriage lasted 68 wonderful years.
In Texas, Christa held several jobs, but began a lifelong career with the Transport Life Insurance Company in 1974 where she remained until 1996.
She passed peacefully in the family home which her husband, Loyd Cox built for her in Kennedale, Texas on April 15, 2024, surrounded by her devoted husband and daughters.
Christa is preceded in death by her parents, Willy and Helen Loeche. She is survived by her adoring husband, Loyd Cox; their two daughters, Susan and Linda, her son in law, Lonnie Ford and many grandchildren who adored her. Christa fiercely loved her family, her cats and at times, the Dallas Cowboys.
