Charles "Chuck" Boss, a dedicated serviceman, loving family man, and respected professional, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Fort Worth. He was born on August 16, 1938, in South Kingston, Rhode Island, a place that marked the beginning of a life filled with commitment to family, country, and community.
Chuck honorably served his nation as a member of the U.S. Air Force, a testament to his sense of duty and patriotism. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career at Choice Hotels, from which he eventually retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Manuela "NeNe" Boss, whose memory he cherished deeply; his mother, Emily May Gillan Boss; his father, Charles J. Boss; and his brother, Robert. These close familial bonds were foundational to Chuck’s life and are remembered with respect and affection.
Chuck is survived by a devoted son who carries on his legacy, as well as grandchildren Robert, Heather, and Jeremy, who bring joy and pride to the family. His great-grandchildren, Lacie and Alexander, represent the enduring strength of his family lineage. Additionally, he is remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, and great-great grand nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth and generosity.
A special acknowledgment goes to his niece, Tassi Shaddox, whose exceptional care, compassion, and support during his final years exemplified the profound love within the family. Her kindness was a great solace to Chuck and those around him in his later days.
