Richard Urbina Casarez

Richard U. Casarez, A beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. Richard wore shoes that are impossible to fill. He was devoted to his family, a father figure to so many. He feared and loved The Lord, and taught whomever he was around about Him. His love for God showed most through his selfless love to us. He grew up in Defiance Ohio, where he worked and retired from General Motors. He had a love for music, a natural talent. He played in front of churches and taught what he knew to any one who wanted to learn. He also loved his Harley, he always looked forward to a sunny evening on his bike with his wife.
We lost Richard unexpectedly on June 9, 2021. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on July 12, 1958 to Serapio M. Casarez and Ofelia G. Casarez. He is preceded in death by his mother Ofelia G. Casarez and his brother Robert Urbina Casarez. He is survived by his wife Maribel Casarez ; his father, Serapio M. Casarez; his siblings, Serapio Urbina Casarez Jr., Mary Ann Urbina Casarez, Eddie Urbina Casarez, David Urbina Casarez and Monica G. Casarez; his daughters, Estrella, Amanda, Jessica, Danielle and Elaina Casarez; and three boys who he raised as his own, Daniel, John and Richie Mendez..
