Gene Campbell passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 in Ft Worth, Texas, at the age of 90 years young.
Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 17, 2018, Arborlawn United Methodist, Elizabeth Cramer Chapel.
Gene was born December 8, 1927 in Port, Ok. He was married for 61 years to the love of his life, Bettye Tierce who preceded him in death in 2010. They had three children, Michael, Anne, and Bill. Gene’s successful professional career was in the life insurance business in Lamesa, Tx, Albuquerque, NM, and Houston, Tx. He retired as a VP with Great Southern Life and moved to Fort Worth with Bettye in 1998 to be closer to their family. Gene was an active member of Arborlawn UMC as song leader for the Friendship Class and as a member of the Chancel Choir. He was honored as Emeritus Chancel Choir member in 2014.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors
Gene is survived by his many friends and by his children Michael (wife Dianne) of Salado, Tx, Anne Settle (husband John) of Burleson, Tx, and Bill (wife Paula) of Arlington, Tx. He was known as Grandgene to his grandchildren, Adam Settle, Grant Settle, Hailee Settle, Travis Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Tamara Piper, Shana Marguiles, Maia Churchill, Erik Sturtevant and his 14 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye, his brother Clifford and his grandson Adam.
