Buford Elige Elliott has gone to be with the Lord on September 29, 2024, at home in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 94.

Buford was born on September 28, 1930, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Beatrice June Dilbeck and Thomas Elliott. He attended Calvin High School in Calvin, Oklahoma, then went on to attend the GM Institute in Flint, Michigan. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1949, where he served for one year as a seaman. He married Betty Ruth Stephens on January 24, 1951, in Calvin, Oklahoma. They moved to Arlington, Texas, where Buford worked at General Motors. He went on to retire as a General Foreman after 35 years with the company. He attended First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas. He loved to spend his time making clocks, tinkering around the house, and building things. Buford was a member of the Masonic Lodge #438 in Arlington, as well as the 32˚ Scottish Rites.

Buford is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Betty Ruth Elliott; his parents, Beatrice and Thomas Elliott.

Buford is survived by his children, Sandra and Ray Rahimzadeh, Susan and Mike O'Neil, Stephen and Pamela Elliott, and Shawn Mahan; his 12 grandkids, 42 great-grandkids, and 4 great-great-grandkids.
