William Charles "Butch" Buckner

William “Butch” Buckner, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in the comfort of his own home at the age of 77.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Skyvue Funeral Home.

Graveside Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.

Butch was born November 10, 1943, to William Clayton Buckner and Glenda Jane Gilbreath in Dallas Texas. He graduated from Duncanville High School and later married Shirley Lee Buckner (King) on February 18, 1965, in Duncanville, Texas. A member of the Assembly of God and enjoyed sports, handyman work and especially spending time with his family.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Buckner; sons, Stephen and his wife Patricia Buckner, Timothy and his wife Jeana Buckner; sisters, Pat Hayes, Sandra McCall, Peggy Denton, Donna Barr and Cheryl Blankenship; brother, Jimmy Buckner; grandchildren, Kristi and Brad Gorman, Kimberly Buckner, Justin and Jennifer Buckner, Joshua Buckner; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kyli, Violet, Bailey, Ryan, Liam and Kinsey along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends who will carry on his legacy.
