John Davidson Brummett

John Davidson Brummett, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away on August 25, 2022 at the age of 81.
John was born on November 25, 1940 to Frank Brummett and Ruth Henderson Brummett in Childress, Texas.
After graduating high school, John continued his education at UT Austin where he received his BBA, SMU where he received his MBA, and Texas Woman's University where he received his teaching certification. He then went on to work for Boeing, Allergan, Kraft Foods, and to teach regular and special education for many years.
In his free time, he loved reading philosophy, fiction and non-fiction, bird watching and traveling. John was funny, loving, wise and very kind-hearted and will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of any flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Venus High School Scholarship fund, Venus, Texas.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth Brummett; son, Paul Brummett; sister, Barbara Brummett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Barbara Jean Brummett, "Love of my Life!"; daughters, Jenifer (Jeff) Cody, Mindi Chamberlain (Bruce Brewer); daughter-in-law, Sherri Brummett; sons, David (Jeanie) Brummett, Tyler Hargrove; sister-in-law, Sherry (Robert) Delling; brothers, Calvin and Lee Brummett, Jim and Marilyn Brummett; grandchildren, Heather (Nathan) Bruno, Ashley Brummett, Lauren Brummett, Sam Cody, Morgan Cody, Reagan Brummett, Rachel Brummett, Kaidyn Chamberlain, Eric Brewer; great-grandchildren, Harper Brummett, Piper Brummett; numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
