Yvonne Morris Brewer, 72, went to be with the lord on February 14, 2021.
Visitation: 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, February 26, 2021 at Skyvue Victoria Chapel.
Graveside service: 10:00am Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Skyvue Memorial Garden.
Yvonne Morris Brewer was born in Ft Worth, TX to the union of Jack C. Morris and Exeddie Patterson who preceded her in death Yvonne accepted Christ at a young age, was a member with Community Missionary Baptist Church in Ft Worth as a youth and later in life The Potter's House Dallas until she became ill. She graduated from I.M. Terrell High School and attended Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. Yvonne worked for many years with St Joseph Hospital in Ft Worth in different roles such as a lab technician. She later worked in the transportation arena for Braniff Airlines and The T Public Transportation. She returned to familiar surroundings and worked at Medical Plaza Hospital as a Medical Unit Secretary until her retirement in 2009.
Yvonne was a quiet person who enjoyed to write short stories, read books, loved movies and traveling. For years focused her interests in assisting with election polling stations. Babies and children were always drawn to her and she took a few in as her own. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Leroy Bennett, her step-sister Janet Neal and her spouse Albert C Brewer. She leaves to cherish her brother Jesse B. Phillips, sister-in-law Valdora Mae Phillips, daughter Chevez Morris-Sion, son Elliott Morris, grand-daughter Alexandria Washington McGettigan (Forest) and great-grand-daughter Aria McGettigan. Step-children Inether Brewer Walker, Jessica Brewer Mathis (Mike), Albert C Brewer, Jr and Robert Brewer. Aunts Helen Henderson and Marjorie Patterson, nieces, nephews, special cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
