Brett Bonz, known to many as Casper rested his hard-working hands on January 24, 2026, in Mansfield, Texas at the age of 54. Brett was born April 29, 1971, in Peoria, Illinois, to Ronald and Emily Couch (Hollibaugh).
He moved to Texas as a young adult and worked for a period of time in long haul trucking. Taking an interest in Towing and Recovery, he leaned on his friend and mentor James Bennett, Sr. to guide and teach him the skills necessary to be successful, as well as safe. Brett was determined and hardworking, proving his dedication to the Beards Towing family for the past several years.
In Brett's younger adult years, he found a talent and passion for semi-pro wrestling, making the infamous 121 & Casper his symbolic trademarks. Brett won numerous championships & buckles.
Brett's favorite passion was his Harley's. Taking rides with his buddies Charles, Philip and Justin. Staking out new places to sight see, new diners to try, new Harley stores to shop at and grab a poker chip. Brett always shared photos of his adventures and loved to catch a good sunrise or sunset.
The greatest love of Brett's life was his daughter, Amiah. His "ride or die, broke best friend". They were inseparable.
He introduced Amiah to the Harley world before she was even born and as soon as her feet could reach the pegs the ride off's together began.
Brett will mostly be remembered for his smile and his laugh. His sarcasm and quick-witted comebacks and quips would almost certainly leave you either laughing or scratching your head. Everyone will remember the "you dropped your pocket" line.
Brett's belief in the Lord gave him peace in knowing he would be reunited with Amiah. He knew Heaven was on the other side and the peace he longed for; he would finally have.
He is preceded in passing by his loving daughter, Amiah Bonz on May 2, 2024; mother, Emily couch on April 27, 1978; father, Ronald Couch on May 18, 1984; grandmother, Ruth Hollibaugh on April 27, 2009.
Brett's memories and passions will be forever remembered, cherished and carried on by his survivors, his son, Josh Couch; sisters, Carolyn Brown, Angie Allen and Kelly Sims Myers; brother, Jay Michael; six nieces, two nephews and numerous other loving family and friends.
Brett was and still is very much a legacy in his own right. He is loved and missed.
