Brent Layne Loveland passed away on Thursday August 10, 2023, after an eight-month battle with stomach cancer at the age of 56. Brent was born on November 22, 1966, to Larry and Midge Loveland, beating his twin brother Bruce by half an hour.
Growing up Brent was the peacemaker, jokester and “most likely the favorite” of his family. He was athletic and enjoyed participating in every sport that was available. His sidekick in life, in and out of trouble, was his twin brother Bruce, much to the dismay of their parents. This dynamic duo was inseparable for the best and the worst, depending on whatever situation they had gotten themselves into.
Brent is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jennifer and three daughters, McKenzie (Nathan), Rylee, and
Carson (Giacomo) along with two very crazy and rambunctious granddaughters, Calli and Madisyn. He is also survived by his father Larry Loveland, his sister Kara Lee (Dave), his brother Mike (Terry), twin brother Bruce (Natalie) and younger sister Becki (Ken). He is preceded in death by his mother Midge Loveland.
Brent enjoyed many things in life from good food, sports, spending time with his family and fishing. He had a love-hate relationship with golf and believed the next best most expensive golf club would improve his golf game. Jennifer of course always said, “I thought a good golf game had to do with the skill and talent from the person holding the club.” Brent’s response was, “Jennifer you really don’t know anything about golf.”
He will be remembered for his big heart and the love he had for not only his family and friends, but for the Savior. He truly loved and cared for those around him and if you knew him, you felt that love. Brent was service oriented, always putting others’ needs before himself, never asking for anything in return. He was a loving husband and the best girl dad in the world who endured Pretty Pretty Princess makeovers, dress up, and fashion shows with a big smile on his face. He was easy going with a great sense of humor, a big ol’ teddy bear with a warm embrace and cool mustache. He will be missed dearly.
