Bobbie Harvey

Bobbie Ann Harvey was born on June 17, 1941, in Gill, Arkansas. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2026, at the age of 84. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma and GiGi. Bobbie graduated from Birdville High School in 1959.

Bobbie was a devout Christian, and she loved the Lord making it her life mission to serve the church and held weekly bible studies in her home to minister to people and bring them to Christ. She was a volunteer Prayer Partner at the City of Faith Hospital in 1985 while attending Oral Robert University in Oklahoma. She took Spanish classes to fulfill her calling to be a missionary in Mexico. Bobbie responded to the calling to Christian Ministry and was ordained as an Evangelist on May 11, 1993.  Bobbie continued her calling to assist families in prayer at Hugley and Harris Hospital, where she served in the Capacity as the Hospital Chaplin from 2008- 2010.   

Bobbie and Don met at a catered luncheon event at his job through a friend.  In April 12, 2012, they were married and they made their home in Burleson, Texas. They followed the Daytripper show about restaurant food and places to visit in Texas. She and Don would drive hours to check out the restaurants and historical points of interest. Bobbie was a avid Food Network Cooking Show follower and loved to share recipes with her son, Doug and daughter, Theresa.

Bobbie had worked at several jobs to include a receptionist for a well-known Volkswagen Dealership in Arlington, Texas where she became friends with members of the Dallas Cowboys Football team icons such as Bob Lilly. She was also a US postal worker along with working at several grocery stores, and Catering jobs where she met her husband, Don Harvey. Bobbie also owned a successful family-owned Coffee Company in Beaumont, Texas.

Bobbie was such a giver and loved helping family, friends and anyone in need. She was known for her glowing smile and big heart. Bobbie had a heart of gold and would brighten any room she entered. She loved to laugh and joke around and had an enormous sense of humor and the sweetest sounding laugh.

Bobbie was a loving dedicated mother to her two children Doug and Theresa. She also loved and playing with her grandkids, great grandkids and family. Her hobbies were traveling, sewing and cooking. She loved collecting antiques and she had a collection of antique cars. She also loved collecting free stuff.

She loved watching birds from her window with her binoculars which she had several ones to choose from. She was always cooking for her family from new recipes she seen on TV and social media.

Her grandchildren called her "Grandma", and she loved spending time with them, whether it was teaching them how to make homemade biscuits and gravy, reading to them or cheering them on from the stands. Her great-grandchildren called her "GiGi". Above all, she cherished spending time with her family talking around the table and teaching the grandkids how to play cards while teaching them to cheat by sliding cards under the table to them.

To those left to cherish her memory includes her husband, Don Harvey; son, Doug and wife Denise Gauntt; daughter, Theresa and husband Jerry Mason; sons, Johnny and wife Jennifer Ray and Brent and wife Katie Harvey; brother, Ricky and wife Sandra Hart; grandchildren, Zachary and wife Brandy Mason, Natasha and husband Michael Jean-Marain, Ethan Mason, Audrianna and husband Scott Thomes, Tiffany Gauntt , Drysten and wife Alissa Gauntt, Dustyn Gauntt; great grandchildren, Chloe, Caden, Corbin, Autumn, Tobias, Rowan, Sullivan, Paisley and Alora as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Gladys Hart; siblings, Doris Purcell, David Hart and Melba Kay Payne. 

Visitation to be held 6-8 pm Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Skyvue Funeral Home.  Funeral Service to be held 2 pm Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Skyvue Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Matthews officiating. Interment to follow at Skyvue Memorial Gardens.
