Billy Ray Bailey

Billy Ray Bailey has peacefully gone to be with the Lord on August 7, 2025, at the age of 83. 

Billy was born on May 27, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Clara Mae and William Richardson. He worked for over thirty years as a manager in the hotel industry. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and was a big sports guy, but he especially loved football. His team was the Washington Commanders. He loved watching his Commanders play, even going as far as switching the flag in the front yard whenever they had a game.

Billy is greeted in Heaven by his parents, William and Clara Richardson; his sister, Barbara Ann Smith, and his brother, Steven L. Richardson; his daughter, Veshay.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Rhondy Gandy, Rolonda Bailey, and Rotonyia Hairston (Barry); his sons, Warren and Anthony Bailey; his sister, Wanda K. (Richardson) Bohannan; his brothers, Charles Wayne Richardson (Nettie), Samuel James Richardson, Michael H. Richardson (Meron), Marvin G. Richardson (Gloria); a loving cousin and sister, Gena McKeithan; his 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, 2 loving aunts, Margaret Walker (Troy) and Diane W. (Aaron), and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, The Family has requested plants instead.
