With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we remember Bettina Gentry, whose radiant soul departed this world on June 23, 2026, in Crowley, Texas, at the age of 41. Born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, on July 29, 1984, Bettina’s life was a shining tapestry woven with unwavering devotion to her family, abiding faith, and deep joy drawn from every corner of her journey.
Bettina’s roots in Port Au Prince shaped a spirit rich in warmth and resilience, qualities that she carried across continents and into every relationship she formed. She leaves in mourning and in loving remembrance her devoted husband, Darryl Gentry; her beloved children: daughters Adaeya and Xiomara, and sons Dyson, Amari, and Zayn. Her legacy is beautifully continued by her mother, Margareth Jean Jacques, and her step-father, Seneque Jean Jacques, each of whom nurtured her gentle heart and steadfast character.
Bettina’s family circle spans wide, enveloping ten siblings and in-laws who held her dear. Her cherished sister Marie Melissa Tulysse-Dezine and brother-in-law Joseph, sister Martine Hotila-Dimanche and brother-in-law Ernest, brothers Winter Tulysse, Vivaldi Tulysse, Steven Germain, Seneque Jean Jacques, and Iverson Jean Jacques, along with sister-in-law Dena, each grieve the absence of her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit. Many close friends, whose lives were illuminated by Bettina’s compassion and strength, also find comfort in abiding memories.
She was predeceased by her father, Ocala Tulysse, whose memory Bettina honored deeply throughout her life.
Faith anchored everything for Bettina. She loved worshiping God, lifting her voice and spirit in prayer not only for herself but for all those blessed to know her. Her faith was living, active, and unfurling in actions—praying with loved ones, encouraging those in need, and finding grace in daily life. Her devotion was especially evident within her family, whom she served lovingly and tirelessly, always placing their happiness and well-being at the center of her heart.
Bettina cherished life’s adventures. From traveling to new places to creating simple moments at home, she sought the beauty in everyday blessings. Family gatherings, quiet moments in prayer, and journeys near and far—each experience became a memory stitched lovingly into the fabric of her life.
A significant chapter began when she married Darryl Gentry on June 10, 2021, in Miami, Florida. Their love was a sanctuary, strong and nurturing, the foundation for the home they built together.
Bettina leaves behind a living legacy, evident in every heart she touched. Her memory will inspire kindness, faith, and unity for years to come. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will carry forward her example of boundless empathy and steadfast hope.
Family and friends are invited to honor Bettina’s life at services to be held on July 9, 2026, at Carter Metropolitan CME Church in Fort Worth, Texas. A viewing will begin at noon, followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, Texas.
Though nothing can fill the space left by Bettina’s passing, her spirit will endure in prayers spoken, love shared, and faith unwavering—a testament to a beautiful life lived fully and selflessly.
