Bebe Linda Smith

Bebe Linda Smith, a distinguished engineer known for her contributions to Textron and Lockheed Martin, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Joshua, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1957, in Wellsville, New York, and spent much of her early life in Bolivar, New York.

Bebe earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Alfred State, a foundation that led her to a successful and impactful career in the engineering field. Her expertise and dedication were evident throughout her tenure at both Textron and Lockheed Martin, where she worked on various significant projects that showcased her talent and commitment to innovation.

On March 28, 1989, Bebe married Roger Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. Their marriage was a source of profound happiness and companionship that lasted through the years. She took pride in her roles as wife and family member, cherishing the close-knit bonds they shared.

She was born Bebe Linda Lockwood and was deeply connected to her family roots. She is survived by her beloved husband, Roger Smith, her sister Tomi Lockwood Carroll, and her brother David Lockwood along with his wife, Jodi. Bebe also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held her in great affection.

Bebe was preceded in death by her loving parents, David and Tomiko Lockwood, and her sister, Sue Ann Ahl. Their memories remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Bebe Linda Smith’s life was marked by professional excellence and personal warmth. Her contributions to engineering and her enduring love for her family will be remembered with respect and admiration by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever honored.
