Buddy

Sep 19, 1943 — Sep 11, 2026

Burleson, Texas

Baudelio “Buddy” Lujan Sr. passed away on September 11, 2026, just days before his 83rd birthday. He was born on September 19, 1943, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him.

Buddy built a life marked by hard work, dedication, and the quiet satisfaction of doing things well. He served as plant manager at Royal Mfg. for around 30 years and later as plant manager at CIS for around 10 years. After a long and faithful career, he retired in 2009. His work reflected the steady commitment and strength that also defined him in the lives of his family and friends.

Outside of work, Buddy found joy in simple and meaningful pursuits. He loved to fish and hunt, and he enjoyed working on his old truck. He also took great pleasure in woodworking and repurposing furniture, bringing care and craftsmanship to the things he made with his hands. These interests spoke to his resourcefulness, patience, and appreciation for time spent doing what he loved.

Above all, Buddy was a family man whose life was closely woven with those he loved most. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Lujan, and by his children: daughters Sylvia Garcia and her husband John Garcia, Veronica Rosas and her husband Roberto Rosas, Stacey Smith and her husband Joe Smith, Erika Mann, Monika Lawson, and Lacy Lujan; sons David Lujan and Tracey Renfroe; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Rita Alvarado, Adela Johnson and her husband George Johnson, Braulia Medrano, Teresa Jones and her husband DJ Jones, Relles Zavala and her husband Juan Zavala, Geneva Rivas and her husband Roy Rivas, and Isa Lujan; and his brothers Miguel Lujan, Alonso Lujan and his wife Irene Lujan, Manuel Lujan Jr., Pilar Lujan and his wife Annabel Lujan, and Blas Lujan; he is further survived by his nieces and nephews, as well as his great and great, great nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward memories of Buddy’s life, love, and enduring presence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Lujan Sr.; his mother, Elfida Tarango Lujan; his sister, Otilia Alvarado; his brother, Sipriano Lujan Sr.; and his son, Baudelio Lujan Jr.

The family of Buddy sincerely thanks everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Their kindness and comforting words mean more than can be expressed. Buddy will be deeply missed and forever loved.
