Barbara “BUNNY” Jean Hanson: November 10, 1959 – March 16, 2026. A beloved spouse, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend passed away at the age of 66 surrounded by her family.
Bunny lived a life defined by kindness, creativity, and hospitality. Bunny graduated from Burleson High School with the Class of 1978. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1992 and obtained her BSN from UT Arlington in 2008.
Bunny was a loving, and generous soul who brought light and warmth to everyone around her. As a Registered Nurse, she lovingly cared for many patients in multiple settings that included Home Health, Hospital, Nursing homes and finished her career as a school nurse for Mansfield ISD.
Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader-always encouraging, supporting, and celebrating those she loved. Her presence made people feel seen, valued and deeply cared for.
She loved traveling—whether on cruises, weekend camping trips, or motorcycle trips with John. And let’s not forget the weekly Tuesday Winstar visits with her sister or flying abroad to see her grandchildren. Additionally, she dedicated many nights and weekends cheering on several generations of family from the stands.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, John Pack; her daughter, Kristen Hill and husband Jeremy; her son, Scott McCoy and wife Oneyda; her niece, Misty Ramos and wife Brandi; nephew, Daniel Hanson and wife Sarah; and her sister, Tammye Tarver and partner Melanie. She is also remembered by her grandchildren: Aaron, Alex, Jody, Nayeli, Maeson, Ezra, and Liam; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her close friend, Jo Hamilton.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Hanson; mother, Barbara Cadran; stepfather, Doug Cadran; and sister, Connie Ramos.
