In loving memory of April Lamar Moore, born on the 20th of January, 1951, in Corsicana, Texas, we gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose spirit graced the world until her peaceful departure on November 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ms. Moore was a pillar of strength and grace, nurturing her passion as a dedicated cosmetologist while simultaneously achieving an Associate's degree in business accounting. In every endeavor, she exemplified the values of hard work and diligence, inspiring both her peers and clients alike with her unwavering commitment to excellence and beauty.
Her faith was an essential aspect of her life, as she attended Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, communities that provided her with support and companionship throughout the years.
April was not only a skilled professional but also a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Denise Lashun Bruce, and her son-in-law, Michael Wade Bruce II. She is further survived by her stepson, Eric Dunn Moore, and her dear mother, Emma Yeldell. The bonds of family extend through her sister, June Roland-Ray and her husband, George Ray, and her brother, Byron Yeldell. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Morica D. Mitchell and her husband Montrail D. Mitchell, and Eboné B. Ford, along with her great-grandchildren, Montrail Jr., Maddox, Melia, Mackenzie, Mason, Makai, and Maverick. The familial tapestry is enriched by her nieces Secret, Deann, Charde, Marquela, and Pashence, as well as her nephews Cedric, Michael, George, and Raymond.
April was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie James Moore, her father, Raymond Yeldell, and her stepdaughter, Debbra Ann Moore, both of whom she cherished deeply.
The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the entire staff of Community Healthcare of Texas, Hospice House at Huguley Burleson, Texas, whose compassionate care during her final days brought comfort to both April and her loved ones.
As we remember April Lamar Moore, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love. She touched the lives of many and will forever remain in our hearts.
