Born on December 4, 1962, in Smyrna, Tennessee, Anita was a remarkable individual whose impact reached far beyond the boundaries of her profession.

Anita's career spanned several decades, during which she tirelessly served as an orthopedic nurse. Her compassion and skill brought comfort to countless patients and their families. In addition to her nursing profession, Anita selflessly assisted her late husband in running his business. Her dedication to both her career and her family exemplified her unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Outside of work, Anita found solace and joy in various hobbies and interests. Planting flowers brought color and beauty into her life, while fishing and camping allowed her to connect with nature in profound ways. Anita had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed the thrill of watching NASCAR races. But perhaps what truly lit up her life was dancing; the rhythm would sweep her away as she twirled gracefully on the dance floor.

Anita will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by a loving family who cherishes her memory dearly. Her husband Richard Scott Groomer stood by her side throughout their journey together. Their love was evident in every glance they shared and every moment they spent hand-in-hand.

Anita leaves behind four children who meant the world to her: Tarah and Kellison Karlin, Jensen Scott Groomer, Bryce Wayne Groomer, and James Wesley Lewis. Each one carries a piece of their mother's spirit within them and will continue to honor her legacy in their own unique ways.

Anita's bond with her grandchildren was truly special. Aubrey Lewis, daughter of James Lewis, brought immeasurable joy to her life, and Leila and Lilly Karlin, daughters of Tarah and Kellison Karlin, were the embodiment of love and happiness. Anita's heart overflowed with love as she watched these little ones grow.

In addition to her immediate family, Anita leaves behind her brothers, Chuck and Joann Marler of Damascus, Maryland, and Randy and Suzanne McGee of Lubbock, Texas. Their shared memories and experiences will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Anita touched the lives of many friends who became extended family. Their unwavering support brought comfort during difficult times and joy during moments of celebration. Her kindness knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on every life she encountered.

A memorial service to celebrate Anita Sue Groomer's life will take place on July 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Skyvue Funeral Home located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd in Mansfield, Texas. Friends and family are invited to attend this special occasion to honor a remarkable woman who brought light into the world.
