Angela Rene Stewart (Taylor)

Angela (Angie) Rene Stewart, 49, passed away peacefully at her home in Joshua, Texas, on January 18, 2026. 

Born in Fort Worth, Angie was a woman defined by her kind heart, gentle spirit, as described by those she loved. Angie was always, even if remotely, involved in her family's lives. She was known by many as treating everyone she met like kin. She found her greatest joy in family gatherings, likely with a plate of Mexican food and a cold, sweet cocktail in hand. Her compassion was most evident in the tender care and comfort she provided her mother and mother-in-law during their final days. No matter the circumstances of her own life, Angie remained a constant in the lives of her nieces and nephews, never missing a chance to check in and offer her love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacqueline and Arthur Taylor, and her stepfather, Homer Culver, mother-in-law, Patricia Smothers and sister-in-law, Kim Stewart.

Her memory will be cherished by her devoted husband, Greg Stewart; her aunt, Joyce Reusch; her sisters, Gina Crowder and Julie "Nikki" Barnett; and her best friend, Heather Kane. She also leaves behind her beloved nephews and nieces: Daryl Burgess Jr., Sunnie Barnett, Abby Crowder, Libby Crowder, and Cole Crowder. Her grandmother Marlene Mann, aunt, Sharon Bissonnette, cousins Victor Bissonnette and Joe Bissonnette. Her beloved cats, Kitty Stewart and Betty.

Angie has gone home to be with the Lord, leaving behind memories of her kindness that will be missed by all who knew her.
