Alexander Robert Simms

Alexander Robert Simms of Arlington, Texas and formerly of Brooklyn, New York, was called home to receive his heavenly reward on July 28, 2026, at the age of 49. Alexander was born in Honduras on August 25, 1976, to Robert Simms and Janet Beckford-Simms.

He married Sara Martel Simms on October 16, 2021, in Burnet, Texas. Alexander worked for Bell Helicopter, Hollman Lockers, Arcosa and Team Up Athletics. He earned his bachelor’s degree through the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and his master’s degree from New York State University. Alexander was a man of God and attended New Life Fellowship. He enjoyed being a youth baseball coach and an entrepreneur. Special Acknowledgement to his Thunder EBC teams, the players and their parents meant so much to him.

Alexander is preceded in death by his father, Robert Simms; mother-in-law, Sally Martel; uncle, Ricardo Dicky Hynds; grandmother, Icilda Maria Johnson; grandfather, Oliver Nelson; grandmother, Winifred Kelly; grandmother, Eleanor Nelson; grandfather, Charles Beckford; uncle, Carlos Stanley.

Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his loving wife, Sara Simms; sons, Bryson Simms, Christian Simms, Alexander Simms; mother, Janet Simms; sisters, Kimberly Simms and Trisha Simms; brother, Steve Simms; niece, Naima Simms; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends who will cherish his memory dearly.
